To get the conversation going, it would help to hear from owners:
- Which BYD do you drive, and is it fully electric or a DM-i plug-in hybrid?
- How do you charge at home? A wallbox, a granny cable on a normal socket, or not at all yet?
- Which tariff or app do you use to charge off-peak, if any?
- Which public networks have worked well (or badly) for you, and where?
- Anything that surprised you once you started charging day to day?
A few ground rules so threads stay useful:
- Please say which model and year you have, because charging behaviour differs between cars.
- If you are having a wallbox installed, have it fitted by a qualified electrician. Please don't take electrical advice from a forum as a substitute for that.
- Charging figures from the owner's manual are welcome. Please say where a number came from, whether it is the manual or what you saw on your own car.
